Exhaust Treatment

Alloy foam from Alantum is an efficient and economical solution for use in diesel oxidation catalysts (DOC) and in diesel particulate filters (DPF). It can be used in commercial vehicles on or off highway, and in stationary engines, railway and marine applications worldwide. A system for the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) of NOx emissions is also currently under development.
Alloy foam from Alantum is not susceptive to damage by fuel with high sulphur content, making it particularly suitable for exhaust gas after-treatment systems in most emerging markets.
The local support of customers in the development and commercialization of the applications with foam is an important success factor. Alantum can provide tailor-made foam material and engineering support to meet the special requirements of specific regions.
In comparison to other options available on the market, alloy foam from Alantum offers significant advantages as an exhaust gas after-treatment solution. High efficiency with regard to filtration and catalytic efficiency, a beneficial price-performance ratio, and flexibility of design are just the beginning. A combination of functionalities (diesel particulate filters and selective catalytic reduction and/or diesel oxidation catalysts and diesel particulate filters in one unit) as well as options for the active and passive regeneration of the diesel particulate filter are other ways Alantum stands apart.
