Industrial exhaust gas treatment
Efficiency for industrial filter systems
The possibility of coating ALANTUM alloy metal foams with a variety of catalysts in differing material densities makes them ideal materials for industrial filters. Due to their stable shape, they are also suitable as supporting cages for fabric filters. The ingenious aspect of these is that because the filter fabric can lie flat against the foam, mechanical loading is reduced. This increases service life, or permits the use of thinner, and therefore less expensive, filter materials.
There are many other conceivable areas where ALANTUM alloy metal foams can be used. Their high temperature resistance makes them suitable for use as spark arresters or blockers. They can help optimize combustion in gas heating systems and contribute to in flame dispersion applications. Metal sandwich structures can be constructed for use in heat exchangers.

High-efficiency exhaust gas treatment
The high-quality ALANTUM alloy metal foams, with their extremely large reactive surface areas and turbulent flow, are well-suited to the effective cleaning of emissions from internal combustion engines. In the diesel particulate filter (DPF), the combination of different porosities and the number of foam layers used allows the filtration rate to be designed to specifically meet requirements. In the diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) or three-way catalyst (TWC), ALANTUM alloy metal foams improve the catalytic function and at the same time decrease the usage of precious metals.
