Excellent basis, advanced treatment
ALANTUM alloy metal foams are based on a flexible metal foam coil utilizing nickel or iron,
with an exactly defined pore size of 450 μm, 580 μm, 800 μm and up to 1200 μm. With their
low weight and high permeability, even these basic products offer considerable advantages,
such as low back pressure.
These metal foam sheets first become true multi-talents, however, when subjected to the
ALANTUM-patented stable surface treatment process using high-alloy metal powders.
In the course of this sintering process, the alloys react with the substrate material
to give the ALANTUM alloy metal foams their homogeneous structure, an even more enlarged
specific surface area and the desired application-related properties.
